“I believe that relationship building is a major component of good interior design. In order to create a home that is welcoming, calming and comforting, it is vital to understand my clients’ tastes, objectives and lifestyles. Once I understand the relationship that my clients want with their home, I am able to blend their architectural needs and personal tastes into an interior that is appropriate, timeless, painterly… and completely their own. And, at the end, there is no greater compliment than to have my satisfied clients refer me into the homes of their family and friends.”
Carl Williamson’s career in the luxury furniture and interior design industry began two decades ago in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California when he joined Great Things Antiques, Fine Furnishings & Interior Design as Principal Designer & Buyer. He showed a talent for color, texture, style, and space planning. He deftly embraced the styles appropriate for the trophy beach properties of California’s Gold Coast, the traditionalism demanded by the mansions along the storied 17 Mile Drive of Pebble Beach, the intimate Arts & Crafts bungalows of Carmel and the contemporary style demanded by the Silicon Valley elite. Commercial and hospitality interiors, including hotels and restaurants, expanded his scope in 1997. And, in 2000, Carl began traveling across the United States as clients requested their second and third homes to be “Carlized.” Carl explains that his loyal following is based on his client first ethic, exceeding expectations, and delivering an exemplary finished project.
Carl wholeheartedly looks forward to creating an interior just for you at Sheffield Furniture & Interiors in Rockville, MD.
