Marilyn Jacobs is both very talented and highly cultured in the art of interior design. As a designer, Marilyn’s priority is to build a design space that is “a true reflection of a client’s taste balanced with the perfect combination of color, scale and functionality.” After graduating from William Patterson University with a major in Fine Art and a minor in Business, she started her first job in the field of design; A job which took her all over, including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. After a number years as director of Product Development, Marilyn met her husband and took time off to raise her children (two sons and a daughter).
The next degree that Marilyn received was in Interior Design from Pratt Institute. It is with this degree that she pursued her calling for interior design as the manager of a window treatment business and eventually the start of her own design company. From her design firm, to a design specialist for Ethan Allen, to her present employment with Sheffield, there is no doubt that Marilyn has the experience and drive to make her a prized interior designer.
Some unique features of Marilyn’s experience in design:
Designed homes as far North as Manhattan and as far South as Bethany Beach in Delaware. Marilyn is currently consulting for an HGTV design home in Claymont, DE. With great attention to detail, Marilyn leaves no stone unturned in the quest for developing the perfect environment for a client.
