Biography: Debi grew up in Wayne, PA. She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Philosophy. In 1980 she received her Associates Degree in Interior Design and Graphic Arts from Philadelphia College of Art. For the next 2 years she worked for a graphic design firm in Philadelphia, Realizing that interior design was her passion, she developed her own design business, Deborah Rumer Interiors, and enjoyed a successful 17 year career, as both residential and commercial designer. In 2003, Debi joined the Sheffield design team. After nearly 20 years as a designer, Debi finds that design is still her true passion. "I still view each project as an opportunity to create something new and fresh." Through out her extensive career, she has designed beautiful interiors for a variety of homes throughout the Philadelphia area as well as vacation homes in Avalon, Stone Harbor, Delaware, and various locations in Florida. Debi continues to live in Berwyn, PA with her husband Rich and her third Old English Sheep Dog, Lucy. She is the proud mother of two grown children Christopher and Stephanie, and the "ecstatic" grandmother of Zachary and Abigail. In her spare time, Debi enjoys reading, antique hunting, museums and painting. She also enjoys creating personalized gifts for her family and friends using her talents as an accomplished calligrapher.
