Beth received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design at the University of Maryland at College Park. She joined her mother, Joan Nevins, a well regarded interior designer at the existing firm of Nevins Interiors. This was a small design firm and shop in downtown Rockville. There she was able to learn the business end of the trade and establish herself in the design community. It was also there that she met the licensing requirements and became a certified designer, all while raising three sons. Beth’s next step was working at Theodore’s Contemporary Furniture where she further honed her design abilities and garnered a wide and varied design clientele. Beth joined Sheffield Furniture and Interiors in May of 2007.
Beth’s design philosophy is to create interesting interiors by mixing it up a bit. She believes this gives the space a fresh and unexpected outcome. Beth is talented in all phases of residential design, including contemporary, transitional, traditional and eclectic.
